Book Review: Divergent
Beatrice Prior has always felt different from the rest of her family. She was raised in the Abnegation faction, meaning that she has been trained to be selfless. Despite her plain and altruistic upbringing, being selfless has never come naturally to Beatrice. After taking her aptitude test she learns she is a Divergent, meaning she is suited for more than one faction. The five factions are, the Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful) Abnegation (selfless), Eudite (the intelligent) and Candor (the honest). From the first page of this book I was completely enthralled. My books from amazon came in this past Monday at around 4. I began this book seconds after ripping open the box. I was up til around 10:30 finishing it. It has the perfect amount of romance and action. Divergent is often compared to the Hunger Games. I have to say I enjoyed Divergent a lot more, although Hunger Games is a very close second. I can't wait till the sequel, Invergent, comes out on May 1st!
